God Will Getcha: Thief Stabbed By Angel Statue He Was Trying To Steal

Karma’s a b***h. Or, more appropriately: live by the sword …

On Jan 14 local media reported that a drunken 32 year-old Carlos Alonso tried stealing a statue of St. Michael the Archangel. During the process he fell on the statue’s sword injuring himself. 

It’s really hard not to laugh about this. 

Supposedly, Alonso went to the Christ the King Parish in Monterrey, Mexico to rob the church. According to the Catholic News Agency he “jumped over the fence in front of the church entrance, broke a glass door, and entered” the establishment. On his way out he tripped with the statue and fell onto the sword that St. Michael the Archangel was posed with. As a result, Alonso “seriously” injured his neck. 

A witness called for help and the Monterey Civil Protection personnel arrived to save his life. They took him to a clinic for further check-ups and planned to bring him to the public prosecutor’s office for punishment over the damage done to the church.

All that to say, don’t underestimate the power of God and don’t steal statues from churches.
