What about the Democrats’ ‘clown shows’? | Letters

Tom Moran’s recent column, “Why Democrats shouldn’t celebrate the GOP clown show in the House,” referring to the recent speaker’s election, displays the writer’s allegiances right in the headline.

Moran and NJ Advance Media should look to recent history of political clowns. We had clown shows by Democrats since the day former President Donald Trump was sworn in.

Does Moran recall this quote from a Washington Post article on Jan. 20, 2017, the day that Trump was inaugurated?:

“At the moment the new commander in chief was sworn in, a campaign to build public support for his impeachment went live at ImpeachDonaldTrumpNow.org, spearheaded by two liberal advocacy groups aiming to lay the groundwork for his eventual ejection from the White House.”

Clown shows started long ago. Political parties have displayed hatred for years. Democrats’ complaints about Russian interference in the 2016 election and those based on an unreliable dossier about Trump ran through his entire presidency. Lies were fostered by Democrats and FBI clowns.

Remember that our former secretary of state, Democrat Hillary Clinton, another clown, answered a 2013 congressional panel question about whether a protest had sparked the deadly Benghazi attack with, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

After these last three years of screwed-up energy production, overspending, and an immigration fiasco, why limit “clown show” to just one party?

Do more to protect power grid

The physical attacks on U.S. power grids or substations by extremists or other vandals, as well as cyberattacks on this infrastructure, must be addressed now.

Concerning the in-person vandals, there is a way to greatly curtail this. An armed guard should be stationed at every power station.

Unfortunately, the cybercriminals will be more difficult to stop.
