Three new eateries coming to Ohio City this summer: Pioneer, Edda, Jaja
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Three restaurants will open in Cleveland this summer when Harbor Bay Hospitality launches as an offshoot from Harbor Bay Real Estate.
Harbor Bay Hospitality will be run by real estate and hospitality entrepreneur Dan Whalen, executive chef Brian Whalen and beverage director Nora O’Malley, according to a press release. The organization’s first three concepts, named Pioneer, Edda and Jaja, are all located on one block in Ohio City.
That block is centered around Intro Cleveland, a massive timber apartment building constructed by Harbor Bay Real Estate. Edda, a cafe and roastery, will be located inside of Intro, according to Edda’s website, eddacoffee.com.
The other two eateries will be located just around the block. Pioneer will be around the corner at 2407 Lorain Ave., focusing on live-fire cooking with both indoor and patio seating, according to a press release. One block over, and you’ll reach Jaja, a small plates eatery, set to open at 2050 Gehring Ave.
Harbor Bay Hospitality, a Chicago-based group, hinted at further expansions in other cities in a press release.
“Known for their relationship-focused, honest approach to business, Harbor Bay Hospitality pairs the Whalen brothers’ passion for hospitality and knack for design with leading food and beverage knowledge to create unrivaled experiences,” a press release states. “Extending their team’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships and providing unparalleled service, Harbor Bay Hospitality aims to stay true to this approach with their new venture into the food and beverage industry in cities that they love.”
