Women’s Basketball Hires Camille McLellan as Coordinator of Recruiting and Player
Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham women’s basketball head coach Stephanie Gaitley has announced the hiring of Camille McLellan as the program’s Coordinator of Recruiting and Player Development.
“Our staff had the chance to interview Camille out at the Final Four and she ‘had us at hello’.” Gaitley said, “She has a great energy and fits right into our culture. She worked with the Ohio State program and they spoke very highly of her. Chemistry is a big key to our success and I think Camille will be a great addition.
McLellan most recently worked with the Ohio State women’s basketball program as a graduate manager for the past year. A 4.0 student for both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, McLellan assisted the Buckeyes staff with practices, both for her team and with setting opponents up, and recruiting operations. She was also a graduate administrative and research associate with Ohio State’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion last year.
McLellan also has coaching experience, serving as Head Freshman Coach for Thomas Worthington High School for two years, while serving as an assistant coach with the junior varsity and varsity squads. She has also worked in various roles with One Accord Sports over a six-year period, serving as a personal trainer, Camp Director, and Director of Basketball Operations, with experience leading their marketing and fundraising efforts, as well.
