Seniors Celebrated at 3E Signing Event at Benjamin Logan High School

Congressman Jim Jordan attended the 3E Signing event yesterday at Benjamin Logan High School.

The E’s stand for employed, enlisted, and enrolled. The goal is before graduation, every student in the 12th grade in Logan County has committed to one of the three. Each E is equally honored, respected, and given equal consideration.

Congressman Jordan shared his thoughts with the seniors on the “formula for success.”

“There’s a basic formula any successful person follows to achieve anything of meaning or significance. It first starts with setting a goal. Second, be willing to do the hard work necessary. Hard work does not guarantee success, but it sure improves your chances. Finally, the third step, which happens along the way, is you develop more confidence. The more you focus on the goal, the harder you work. Your self-confidence is critical.”

Logan County Chamber of Commerce President Ben Vollrath highlighted the My Local Career initiative. It ensures everyone in the community is aware of the jobs and careers available. Local companies need local talent. To learn about My Local Career, visit https://mylocalcareer.com/.

“If you’re like most 17-20-year-olds, you are still trying to figure out what you want to do in life,” stated Vollrath. The LoCo Gap Year (short for Logan County Gap Year) program is an alternative pathway to your future instead of heading straight to college after high school.
