When will Ohio State QB Justin Fields be drafted?

The 2021 NFL Draft is considered to be very rich with talent at the quarterback position.

Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence is expected to go to the Jacksonville Jaguars with the first pick overall, and BYU’s Zach Wilson and Alabama’s Mac Jones have gone from decent college quarterbacks heading into 2020 to potential face-of-the-franchise type quarterbacks going into 2021.

After that, it gets a little bit murky. There is a 1A tier of quarterbacks, led by Ohio State’s Justin Fields, after the ‘Big Three’. Where will Fields end up cashing checks in 2021?

Let’s dive in on Fields’ NFL Draft odds and betting lines.

With Lawrence, Wilson and Jones expected to be the first three picks in the draft, and the Atlanta Falcons believed to be going with Florida TE Kyle Pitts at No. 4, that doesn’t leave a lot of wiggle room for Fields to go in the Top 8.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected their franchise quarterback last season with QB Joe Burrow, and the Miami Dolphins picked QB Tua Tagovailoa to be their franchise man.

The Detroit Lions made a monster trade for QB Jared Goff in the offseason, so it’s unlikely they’ll be using their pick on a quarterback.

So unless most of the talking heads are just way off, and teams go another way at the top of the draft rather than the Lawrence, Wilson, Jones order, playing UNDER 7.5 (-115) is the play.

The only thing which could derail your play would be a trade up by a team in love with Fields. But don’t forget, North Dakota State’s Trey Lance is also turning some heads.

And one team, the Denver Broncos, were considering a move up until they traded with the Carolina Panthers for QB Teddy Bridgewater on Wednesday.
