The Lake County General Health District will be holding COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Lakeland’s campus, in the Athletic and Fitness Center (AFC), beginning Wednesday, April 7. The clinics, likely to be administering the Pfizer vaccine, will be open to individuals 16 years of age* and older. The plan at this time is for first doses to be administered each Wednesday during the month of April with the corresponding second doses administered on Fridays in May. Additional ‘first dose’ clinics will be scheduled for Wednesdays in May, with Fridays in June reserved for the corresponding second doses. (*16-17-year-old individuals must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)

You must pre-register for the clinic. This can be done online at:
https://www.lcghd.org/2019-novel-coronavirus-ncov/covid-19-vaccination/ .
Select the Lakeland clinic, then click on ‘Proceed’ and follow the instructions to create an account with the ArmorVax registration system. Alternatively, you can schedule an appointment through the Health District call center on Mondays and Tuesdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Their phone number is 440-350-2684.

Please note they have NOT opened all appointment dates and times for registration. They plan to release days and times incrementally. Each week, they will release more days and times depending on how quickly appointment slots fill. This means it will be important that you check the Health District’s website on a regular basis until you are able to secure an appointment. You can also sign up to be notified by text message when major updates are posted: text LAKEOHVAX to 69310 to subscribe for text updates.

The college is hosting the clinics at the request of the Health District. Lakeland Community College is not scheduling the appointments or managing the process. For questions, call 440-350-2684 or email [email protected].

The clinics should not be a disruption to normal campus operations. Traffic for the clinic will be directed to the North parking lot and the AFC parking lot will be reserved for individuals unable to enter the building due to physical handicap (in which case the vaccine will be administered in their vehicle). Once individuals have been vaccinated, they will be instructed to remain in their vehicles for 15 minutes and to utilize their car horn if experiencing a reaction that requires the attention of the rescue squad that will be parked in the lot.
