“Andrew ran away in the administrative process of moving from the Class I Special Immigration Office of the Ngurah Rai TPI to the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim), after being visited by his female colleague named Ekaterina Trubkina from Russia,” said Head of Information and Communication for Class I Immigration Special TPI Ngurah Rai Putu Suhendra. Tresnadita in his press conference in Badung, Bali, Saturday (13/2/2021).

Suhendra said Andrew Ayer was an Interpol fugitive who was included in the Red Notice.

The man who owns a passport numbered 7536xx has previously served a criminal sentence at the Class IIA Kerobokan prison for narcotics cases.

After the criminal sentence ended, Andrew was then handed over to the Special Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai on (3/02) to be subsequently subject to Deportation Immigration Administration Actions and proposals to be banned.

The incident began when Andrew Ayer planned to be moved from the Detention Room of the Class I Special TPI Ngurah Rai Immigration Office to the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center on (11/02). This was done because of the limited detention space owned by the Class I Special TPI Ngurah Rai Immigration Office.

However, during the administrative process for the transfer from the Class I Special Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai to the Denpasar Rudenim, starting from obtaining information, registering and preparing a surrender letter for later collection by Interpol, the woman in question was visited by her female colleague named Ekaterina at around 13:20 pm,

Suhendra explained that after being visited by his female colleague, Andrew carried out a re-examination process by the officers. However, during the examination process the person concerned sneaked out of the examination room and fled.

“Actually, there were three officers who were guarding them at the time, but during administration they all sat down to take fingerprints and other information,” he said.

Suhendra later admitted to the immigration officers’ negligence regarding the escape from the Russian Interpol fugitive.
