Over the past few months, there’s been a lot of speculation about USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams and whether he’s truly the generational talent that many expect him to be once he makes it to the NFL level.

For the second straight year, the Chicago Bears own the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, but unlike last year when the team traded the pick to the Carolina Panthers, the storied franchise will likely keep the pick this time around and bring in Williams.

Although no one denies that Williams is the most talented player in the upcoming draft and potentially the next big thing at the quarterback position in the NFL, there have been some character questions, as his ego might be a little tough to deal with.

However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network claims that the USC product had very positive meetings with all the teams he met with ahead of the draft, as his passion for the game is undeniable and that all signs point to him going to Chicago, via “The Pat McAfee Show.”

“All the teams that had meetings with Caleb Williams said they were very positive and he really cares about football. … Most people that I’ve talked to believe that he’s going at number one to the Chicago Bears.”

The Bears have been desperate for a superstar-caliber quarterback for a very long time, and some thought they might have one with Justin Fields, but patience has run thin in Chicago.

Chicago will likely trade Fields ahead of the upcoming draft in hopes of bringing in more draft assets and speeding up the rebuilding process around Williams.
