Jerry Rice Expresses Excitement To Watch Special WR Prospect

The 2024 NFL Draft class is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory as it’s got plenty of offensive prospects that are projected to be long-time starters in the league.

Between the quarterbacks and wide receivers, several teams are going to have a difference-maker fall into their laps when it’s their time to hand in their selections.

While all the attention is on quarterback prospects like Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels, the receivers should also get some love as well.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is widely considered to be the best receiving prospect in years, with Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze right behind him.

This year’s class also features a high-profile name in Brenden Rice, son of NFL Hall of Famer and legend Jerry Rice.

Jerry was on site at the NFL Combine and expressed how excited he is to see his son go through the draft process, via the NFL on Twitter.

“I’m so proud, but I think he done worked really hard and he’s looking forward to his opportunity,” Rice said. “And I’m just being a parent, and I’m just being here to support him.”

There must be a lot of pressure for Brenden to perform considering who his dad is, but he’s a solid player in his own right.

While not on the same level as Jerry, Brenden’s got good hands and football instincts and projects as a No. 2 or No. 3 option on a team.

Brenden could go as soon as the second round of the draft, though his floor seems to be the third round as teams will be drawn to the pedigree and talent.
