Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is starting to become a fixture in the Super Bowl as his team is back in the title game after a relatively up-and-down 2023 NFL season.

Reid has established himself as one of the best coaches in the league because of his offensive creativity and he’s been able to get his team to Super Bowl LVIII despite not having the usual level of skill position players at his disposal.

However, the foundation of the offense remains the same in Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, so Reid still has those two to lean on against the San Francisco 49ers.

Reid also has the benefit of a great defensive unit that’s slowed down some of the league’s most lethal offenses in the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens.

Another Super Bowl title would put Reid in the upper echelon of head coaches in NFL history and he’ll surely have tricks up his sleeves for the 49ers.

Ahead of the game, Reid kept his final message to his players simple, via CBS.

“Be yourselves and go play,” Reid said.

For a team like Kansas City that’s been to the Super Bowl before, there aren’t many things that need to be said.

Reid understands that the team knows what’s at stake and keeping his message short and sweet drives the point home better than any speech could.

San Francisco will do everything it can to stop a repeat, but Reid and the Kansas City organization have shown they can win no matter the circumstances.
