If you look across all the divisions in MLB, there is one that stands out.

That is the AL East.

It is rare for a division to be loaded with five good teams, but that seems to be the case for 2024.

Each team in the AL East has a shot at making the playoffs entering the 2024 season.

You cannot say that about another division in baseball.

But, with all the good teams, one has to stand out amongst the rest.

That is looking like the Baltimore Orioles.

According to Jake Storiale of Talkin’ Baseball, the Orioles are the “easy” favorites in the AL East for 2024.

Baltimore was the number-one seed in the AL last year and won the AL East for the first time since 2014.

But, after getting swept by the Texas Rangers in the ALDS, it was clear the young Orioles were not ready to compete.

That is why they made some more improvements to the roster heading into 2024.

The big move came recently when the Orioles acquired Corbin Burnes from the Milwaukee Brewers.

Now the Orioles have one of the best starting pitchers in baseball.

It seems like things are falling into place for them to have a dominant stretch over the next five to ten years.

Also, it is worth mentioning the Orioles have one of the best farm systems in baseball.

They have the number one prospect in the sport in Jackson Holliday and he should be debuting at some point in 2024.

All arrows are pointing up in Baltimore as they chase their first World Series title since 1983.
