MLB free agency is always a time when teams can most improve their roster.

Unlike other sports, many elite players find their way onto the open market.

The teams that are willing to spend the most reap the benefits.

One team that has made a few under-the-radar signings so far has been the New York Mets.

They have not broken the bank with any of their moves but they have improved their roster.

It was clear coming into the offseason that the Mets needed help in their bullpen.

So far they have done a solid job addressing it.

The Mets signed Adam Ottavino to a contract and will get Edwin Diaz back this season.

Diaz missed all of last year recovering from a knee injury.

But, there are still more moves to be made for their bullpen.

According to Andy Martino, the Mets are still deciding whether to acquire another reliever.

There are still many solid free-agent relief pitchers available.

One name that has been floated around the Mets is Wandy Peralta.

He is a left-hander who has had plenty of success with the Yankees over the past few years.

The Mets must continue to be aggressive in free agency.

Last season was a disaster for the Mets and their fans.

They won 75 games and finished in fourth place in the NL East.

If they are serious about returning to the playoffs in 2024, the Mets will sign a few more impact players to help their team.
