The New York Knicks had become synonymous with struggles over the last few years in the NBA.

However, since the arrival of Jalen Brunson, the Knicks are finally playing like a good team.

Last season, the dynamic duo of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle helped the New York Knicks to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Although the Knicks ended up getting eliminated at the hands of the Miami Heat, it was the start of good things.

Fortunately, the Knicks have carried their form over to the 2023-24 NBA season and are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference right now.

But what is a realistic ceiling for the Knicks this season?

Well, former NBA star Paul Pierce revealed that he believes that the Knicks can reach the 2024 Eastern Conference Finals via All the Smoke Productions on Twitter.

“If the Knicks could find a way to avoid the Celtics in the second round, they can be in the conference finals,” Pierce said of the Knicks.

Pierce believes that the Knicks can certainly reach the Eastern Conference Finals this season, but only if they avoid facing the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 2024 playoffs.

The Boston Celtics legend is certain that the Celtics are simply a tier above the rest of the teams in the Eastern Conference.

After all, the Celtics currently flaunt a league-best 29-9 record.

On the other hand, Kevin Garnett is simply impressed with how well the Knicks roster has been handling their respective duties.

He praised Julius Randle for taking charge of the defense while allowing Jalen Brunson to be the flat-out primary star on the team.

The Knicks are currently the sixth seed in the East with a 22-16 record.
