My Spiritual To-Do List for 2024

As we embrace the beginning of a new year, it is important to prioritize our spiritual well-being and cultivate a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us. 2023 has been a very interesting year, especially one highly focused on spirituality, partly due to Saturn being in Pisces and the collective awakening that has been taking place. Saturn, the planet of limitations and discipline, in the dreamy and intuitive sign of Pisces, has brought forth a heightened sense of spiritual awareness and growth for many. This theme will just continue for the next two years as Saturn continues its journey through Pisces. With this in mind, I have created a spiritual to-do list for 2024, to help guide and nurture my spiritual journey, perhaps this can inspire you too.

See A Moonbow

One of my spiritual goals for 2024 is to witness the beauty and magic of a moonbow. A moonbow is a rare phenomenon where a rainbow is formed by moonlight instead of sunlight. It is said to be a powerful symbol of divine guidance and illumination.

Where – In the United States you can see a Moonbow close to certain waterfalls including Niagara Falls, New York, Yosemite National Park, California and Cumberland Falls, Kentucky. It is also possible to witness one in Hawaii.

When – Moonbows occur when the Moon is low and not obscured by a cloud. The best time is 2/3 hours before sunrise or after sunset. There also needs to be the presence of mist or water droplets in the air for the moonlight to refract and create a rainbow.

With whom – Witnessing this phenomenon can be extremely special so sharing this with a loved one or a close friend would be a beautiful and memorable experience.

Plan a Sacred Pilgrimage

Embarking on a sacred pilgrimage is another significant item on my spiritual to-do list for 2024. A sacred pilgrimage can provide a powerful opportunity for reflection, transformation, and connection with the divine. This journey can be to a holy site that holds personal significance or a destination known for its spiritual energy. This journey can really connect you deeper to yourself as nature has a beautiful way of bringing introspection and peace.

Where – Some popular sacred pilgrimage destinations include the Camino de Santiago in Spain, Mount Kailash in Tibet, and Varanasi in India. In North America you could follow in the footsteps of Sheryl Strayed in her memoir “Wild” and hike the Pacific Crest Trail or visit sacred sites of indigenous peoples such as Chaco Canyon in New Mexico or the Black Hills in South Dakota.

When – The timing of a sacred pilgrimage is deeply personal and can be guided by intuition, religious holidays, or auspicious dates associated with the destination. And of course, when the weather permits.

Create A Sacred Altar

Another item to add to your spiritual to-do list for 2024 is to create a sacred altar. A sacred altar serves as a tangible space where you can connect with the divine, express gratitude, and set intentions. This sacred space can be personalized according to your beliefs and spiritual practices, incorporating items such as crystals, candles, incense, statues or images of deities or spiritual figures, and meaningful objects or symbols.

Why – Creating a sacred altar provides a focal point for meditation, prayer, and reflection, helping to cultivate a sense of peace, grounding, and connection with the divine. It also serves as a reminder of your spiritual journey and can provide a sense of comfort and inspiration in times of need.

When – When to create a sacred altar is entirely up to you. You can change it with the seasons or perhaps when you enter a new phase in your life. The timing is totally up to you and what feels aligned with your spiritual journey.

How – To create a sacred altar, start by finding a peaceful and dedicated space in your home. Clear the area and cleanse it energetically with sage or palo santo. Arrange your chosen items with intention and meaning, placing them on a table, shelf, or dedicated altar. Attend A Sacred Ritual

Attending a sacred ritual can be a transformative experience on your spiritual journey in 2024. This is a beautiful way for you to connect to a higher power and immerse yourself in the wisdom and traditions of a specific spiritual or religious practice. A sacred ritual could be absolutely anything from attending a traditional religious ceremony at a church or temple to participating in a sacred circle or ceremony led by knowledgeable healers.

How – To attend a sacred ritual, start by researching local spiritual or religious communities to find out about upcoming events or ceremonies. Keep an eye out on community boards or on social media. It is also worth going to your local esoteric store as they often have information about upcoming fun spiritual events.
