Pat Heath is an English guitarist, educator and composer. Born in Southport UK, he studied at London’s Musician’s Institute, and was one of the original guitar tutors at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM institute) upon its opening in 2002, alongside founder Bruce Dickinson, Phil Hilbourne and Guthrie Govan, where he taught and mentored international Pop acts James Bay and Mimi Webb. Pat has played wingman to Tyketto frontman Danny Vaughn, co-writing and playing on the ‘Traveller’ album, and was a member of UK metal band Furyon, joining the band on their debut album Gravitas, produced by Rick Beato, but left the band in 2012 after their appearance at Download festival and began writing solo material.

He has also been a columnist for Total Guitar magazine and is an artist with ESP Guitars as well as producing content for Anderton’s Music store and ENGL Amplifiers. He most recently co-wrote and produced the ‘ESP School of Metal Guitar’ features for Metal Hammer and Guitar World online.

HoD of Further Education and taught and mentored international Pop acts James Bay and Mimi Webb. Pat is currently head of Performance and Songwriting at Waterbear the college of Music in Sheffield and lives in Derbyshire.
