In 2016, Palmquist attended the University of Denver to play college soccer. He redshirted his freshman year and had a truncated season in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but went on to make 40 appearances for the Pioneers between 2016 and 2021. Palmquist was named United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team in 2021, Summit League Goalkeeper of the Year in 2018, and Summit League First Team in both 2018 and 2021.[1]
Professional[edit]
Following college, Palmquist signed his first professional contract with USL Championship side New Mexico United on August 18, 2021.[2]
On March 21, 2022, Palmquist signed with USL League One side Richmond Kickers ahead of their 2022 season.[3][4] He made one appearance for Richmond in 2022, starting in a 1–0 extra-time win over North Carolina Fusion in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup on April 20, 2022.[5] He re-signed with Richmond on January 26, 2023, for the club’s 2023 season.[6]

Palmquist co-launched his own soccer-based data and analytics startup called First Team Analytics.[7]
