The Kansas City Chiefs are going through it right now.

The reigning Super Bowl champions can’t go back to their winning ways, losing three of their past four and looking as beatable as ever.

A lot of that — or most of that — has had to do with their lack of talent and play at the wide receiver position.

And it became quite evident after Kadarius Toney cost his team the game-winning touchdown for being offsides.

Patrick Mahomes lost his cool after the game and blamed the referees for not warning him that he was offsides, which is why former Super Bowl champion Richard Sherman put him on blast.

In the latest edition of Undisputed, Sherman called it ‘ridiculous’ that you complain about that in a game where every single call and minor advantage goes towards the offense.

Sherman stated that perhaps the referee didn’t even have a chance to warn him because he lined up properly throughout the course of the whole game.

He explained that cornerbacks often need to check with the referee because they’re pressed and at a disadvantage.

As for players like Toney, there’s simply no excuse for that, as they’re professionals who’ve been doing this since high school.

Truth be told, Sherman has a valid point here, and complaining about a referee not warning a player how to do his job is a new low point.

The Chiefs aren’t good enough to compete at the highest level right now, and that’s not on the referees.
