Last season, the New York Giants were the talk of the NFL, as new head coach Brian Daboll seemingly changed the culture of the team and led them to the NFL playoffs and an upset win over the Minnesota Vikings in the postseason.

For his efforts, Daboll was named NFL Coach of the Year, and the Giants appeared to be a team with a bright future ahead as long as they could keep it going in 2023.

Unfortunately for New York, the 2023 NFL season has been an absolute disaster, as nothing has gone right for Daboll and company, from injuries to lackluster play on the football field on a weekly basis.

With the Giants heading into a downward spiral this season, the team chose to trade defensive lineman Leonard Williams to the Seattle Seahawks ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Halloween.

The Seahawks are currently on pace to be a playoff team this season in the NFC, which makes Williams a happy man to be in Seattle with Pete Carroll and company, according to Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune.

With Williams in the fold in Seattle, the Seahawks get that much better defensively, and they’ll need to be in order to get through the gauntlet of the best teams in the conference, including the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles.

As the Giants look toward the 2024 NFL Draft, the Seahawks aim to be a playoff spoiler, as this team is arguably talented enough on both sides of the football in order to make some noise in the postseason.
