Analyst Says 1 NFC QB Deserves More Credit
One of the more maligned quarterbacks in the NFL these days is Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys.
While he is certainly a capable quarterback, he has been criticized as a result of some poor performances in big games and in the playoffs.
But former NFL player Emmanuel Acho said on FS1’s “Speak” that Prescott deserves more credit, citing how he is the only QB from his draft class to still be on the team that drafted him and that he has started in every game of his pro career.

When Prescott, a fourth-round pick in 2016, was a rookie, he quickly moved from third to first on the depth chart after Kellen Moore and Tony Romo both suffered injuries during training camp.
He had a banner 2016 campaign by completing 67.8 percent of his passes for 3,667 yards and 23 touchdown passes against only four interceptions, earning him a Pro Bowl nod and the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
He has twice thrown for over 4,400 yards and at least 30 touchdowns, and he has two Pro Bowl selections to his name.
However, some poor performances against the San Francisco 49ers, two of them coming in the playoffs the past two seasons, as well as a league-high 15 interceptions in just 12 games last season have led to Prescott getting criticized by many.
While the narrative is that he doesn’t play well under pressure, he has rebounded after throwing three interceptions in a 42-10 loss to the Niners in Week 5.
Last week against the Los Angeles Rams, he went a stellar 25 of 31 for 304 yards and four touchdowns in a 43-20 win.
But he and the Cowboys will face a stiff test this weekend when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles, the defending NFC champions who have the NFL’s best record at 7-1.
