Kristaps Porzingis Makes Strong Statement About Celtics’ Potential
After making some bold moves during the NBA offseason, the Boston Celtics headed into the 2023-24 campaign with a lot of people picking them to be the favorite to win it all, as the additions of Kristpas Porzingis and Jrue Holiday might have put them over the top.
Even though some have also doubted the Celtics’ ability to beat the best of the best in the Eastern Conference and beat whoever may reach the NBA Finals from the Western Conference, Boston is looking like the team to beat only a few games into the season thus far.
The Celtics are currently sporting a perfect 4-0 record right now while coming off an incredible performance against the Indiana Pacers, in which they blew out the up-and-coming team by 51 points on their way to scoring 155.
The 155-point total is the second-highest output for the storied franchise since the 1958-59 season when the Celtics were led by legends Bill Russell and Bob Cousy and coached by the legendary Red Auerbach.
After this 51-point beatdown of the Pacers, Porzingis let it be known that he thinks this is only the beginning of good things to come for the Celtics this season, via Jay King of The Athletic.
Kristaps Porzingis: “It might look really good already because we’re beating these teams easy but it’s going to get much better.”

In the blowout against the Pacers, eight players on the Celtics squad scored 11 or more points, with superstar forward Jayson Tatum leading the charge with a game-high 30.
Only three players on the Pacers cracked double-digits, as T.J. McConnell led the way for Indiana with a team-high 18 points off the bench.
If the Celtics continue to dominate like this, the rest of the Eastern Conference will be in trouble, as Boston may be destined to reach the Finals this season.
