The New York Jets have won three games in a row, and their 4-3 record gives them some hope for the future.

Their defense has been nothing short of spectacular, but their passing game could surely use a boost.

With that in mind, the Jets reportedly tried to add both Mike Evans and Davante Adams, yet neither of their teams were willing to part ways with them (via the New York Post and JPAFootball).

Adding either of those players would’ve given them a massive boost.

They already have an elite playmaker in Garrett Wilson, but they need as many weapons as possible to make life easier for Zach Wilson.

Evans has made his discontent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers well known, even setting a deadline to talk about a contract extension earlier in the season.

He wanted to get paid as the top-notch wideout he is, yet it seems like the team lowballed him.

As for Adams, he’s been quite critical of the Las Vegas Raiders’ offensive struggles, putting the team on blast for not getting him involved in the passing game.

Also, having the opportunity to be reunited with Aaron Rodgers would’ve been very encouraging for him.

At the end of the day, the Jets will have to run it back with their current roster.

That puts some pressure on Wilson, which is obviously a major concern going forward.

Then again, the former No. 2 pick has been slightly better over the past month or so, and the Jets’ playoff hopes are still very much alive.
