The Texas Rangers are up 3-1 in the 2023 World Series after their convincing 11-7 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 4 on Tuesday.

Once again, Rangers shortstop Corey Seager was behind his team’s offensive masterpiece.

Not only did he hit an incredibly timely home run to tie Game 1 in the ninth inning and another crucial one in Game 3, but he also went yard on Tuesday.

He now has three dingers in the 2023 Fall Classic and is a very good candidate to win his second World Series MVP award, after the one he took home with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2020.

Seager, quietly, has built an incredible October legacy and his numbers are very much like those of a fellow postseason legend.

Seager has played 77 postseason games in his career, just like Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees icon Reggie Jackson.

Seager has 19 homers and Jackson, a noted October performer, had 18, and both have 48 RBI.

Seager is reaching legendary status and if the Rangers win their first title, he will be recognized as a hero in Texas for all eternity.

His playoff numbers are rock-solid: he is hitting .251/.346/.508 with 19 round-trippers and a .855 OPS.

However, he has taken it up a notch in World Series play, with six career homers and a .983 OPS.

His power and patience are pacing the Rangers lineup, as he has been a slugging machine in 2023 Fall Classic (.824 SLG).

The Rangers offense is proving to be too overwhelming for a Diamondbacks pitching staff that can only trust three starters and three relievers.

Wednesday could be a historic day for the Rangers franchise.
