The Philadelphia 76ers are finally ready to move on from the James Harden saga.

The former MVP made it clear a while ago that he no longer wanted to play for the 76ers.

Many people in the 76ers organization hoped that they could repair the relationship with Harden.

Unfortunately, they were unable to do so.

Harden was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday morning.

Now, the 76ers can move forward without that distraction and get back to winning basketball games.

One 76ers player that will miss Harden is Tyrese Maxey.

According to ClutchPoints, Maxey said, “One thing he (Harden) really installed in me was confidence…He made me even more confident than I already was.”

This move benefits Maxey the most as he is now locked in as their point guard of the future.

Before, Harden always had the ball in his hands and that was taking away from what Maxey does best.

Maxey won Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the first week of the season.

He is averaging over 30 points per game and looks like one of the most improved players in the NBA.

Maxey is only 22 years old and is emerging as one of the best young players in basketball.

The trading of Harden is addition by subtraction for the 76ers.

They got rid of a significant problem in the locker room while giving their young star the keys to the team.

It will be interesting to see if the Sixers make any more moves to improve their roster this season.
