With the NFL at the halfway point of the 2023 season, the playoff picture is starting to shape up, with legitimate title contenders separating themselves from the pack in both conferences.

One team that has made a lot of noise as of late, both with its play and recent acquisitions of Julio Jones and Kevin Byard, is the Philadelphia Eagles, who are currently sporting the best record in the NFL at 7-1.

Even though the Eagles have had some shaky performances over the course of the 2023 campaign so far, Jalen Hurts and company always seem to figure out a way to come out on top on a weekly basis.

Outside of a surprising loss to the New York Jets, the Eagles have been arguably the best team in football and seem as resilient as ever, which can’t be said about the division-rival Dallas Cowboys, according to Chris Broussard of FOX Sports via “First Things First.”

With the Cowboys being fairly inconsistent this season and the San Francisco 49ers losing three straight games, it’s hard to come up with a case for any team in the NFC being better than the Eagles.

There’s been a lot of close calls for the Eagles against teams that aren’t good this season, like the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, and Washington Commanders (twice), but Philadelphia always finds a way to win, and that could be the difference come playoff time.

Only time will tell if the Eagles can continue to win games like this and carry this momentum into the postseason while keeping other teams in the league at bay.
