After an impressive finish to the 2022 NFL season, the Detroit Lions were dubbed one of the teams to watch in the NFC this season, as Dan Campbell’s squad was projected to take the next step to become one of the best teams in the league.

With four weeks officially in the books, the Lions are living up to the hype they received in the NFL offseason, with Detroit looking like one of the best teams in the conference and seemingly a lock to win the NFC North division title as long as they can keep up this momentum while staying healthy.

Unfortunately, heading into Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers, the Lions could be without two of their best offensive weapons, with star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs dealing with injuries.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, St. Brown is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Panthers, while Gibbs is currently questionable.

Even if these two up-and-coming players can’t get on the field on Sunday, Detroit should still have enough firepower on offense to get the best of the lowly Panthers, who have yet to win a game this season with rookie quarterback Bryce Young under center.

One of the team’s best assets this season has been their offensive line and the run game led by David Montgomery, who has been playing out of his mind during the first four weeks of the season.

The Lions will likely lean heavily on Montgomery while hoping quarterback Jared Goff can make a play or two downfield in order to get the win in Week 5.
