Lakers Star Shares His Thoughts On Nuggets’ Continuous Trash Talk
After the Los Angeles Lakers were swept by the eventual NBA champion Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, the storied franchise took some shots from head coach Mike Malone, who blasted the team publicly on more than one occasion after Nikola Jokic and company beat the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.
Some believe that it was LeBron James’ comments after the Western Conference Finals that might’ve set the Nuggets head coach off and prompted remarks during the team’s parade, as the Lakers superstar brought up considering retirement during his postgame press conference, which no one took seriously.
Like many others, Malone may have thought that was a tactic by James to ignore the fact that he was swept in four games to gain some kind of sympathy.
Now things have gotten personal when it comes to the Lakers and Nuggets, which is ideal for the fans considering the fact these two teams will meet in Denver on October 24 to start the season.
After Tuesday’s first practice of training camp, Lakers guard Austin Reaves spoke to the media and talked about the Nuggets taking shots at his team after they won the championship, via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

During Media Day on Monday, superstar Anthony Davis made it known that he and James have talked about the Nuggets chirping and how they’ll use that as motivation heading into the season opener.
Needless to say, the first game of the season in Denver will be must-see TV for basketball fans, as there’s currently no love lost between the Lakers and the Nuggets.
