When Jrue Holiday was recently traded by the Milwaukee Bucks, teams all over the NBA were eager to land him.

Holiday was sent over to the Portland Trail Blazers in the ground-shaking Damian Lillard trade, but he didn’t stay there long.

Just days later, he was sent over to the Boston Celtics, a move that made fans very happy.

JJ Redick is interested to see what Holiday can do for the Celtics.

On “The Old Man and the Three,” Redick said that Holiday is going to add a lot of defensive power, which will definitely be helpful for Boston in the months ahead.

When you look at his statistics, Holiday is one of the best defensive guards in the league, according to Redick.

This is very important, especially because the Celtics gave up their center, Robert Williams III, in order to acquire Holiday.

Even though Williams is now gone, Holiday will assist on defensive plays.

Redick also applauded Derrick White, Boston’s other guard who happens to be strong defensively as well.

Redick thinks that the combination of both Holiday and White is going to greatly enhance Boston’s chances of going far in the playoffs.

That might set them up to face off against the Bucks, Holiday’s old team.

When Lillard was moved to Milwaukee, most betting sites immediately crowned the Bucks as the new favorites to reach the Finals.

They will have to move through the Celtics to do that, of course.

In a very odd twist of fate, the Bucks’ road to the Finals could crumble because of Holiday and his new team.
