Jalen Hurts Discusses Eagles’ Hard-Fought Win Against Commanders
The start of the 2023 NFL season has been anything but easy for the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles, with Jalen Hurts and company dealing with some tough challenges each week on their way to a perfect 4-0 record.
On Sunday, the Eagles were thought to have one of their easier games against the division-rival Washinton Commanders.
Even though the Commanders have been better than expected this season, Washington was not thought to be a tough opponent for Philadelphia, with a potential blowout on the horizon.
However, that didn’t turn out to be the case, as the Commanders were able to go blow for blow with their division rivals, leading to this game going into overtime.
Fortunately for the Eagles, Hurts and his squad were able to put it together in overtime and come away with their fourth straight win, with the team’s leader under center saying the team showed up when they needed it the most via FOX Sports: NFL.
“We showed up when it mattered the most. That’s kind of what we’ve done all year in these first four games and we’ll continue to do that and continue to grow and build.” ?

Even though the Eagles have had their struggles so far this season, Philadelphia has proven to be as resilient as any team in the league, which is the reason this team is sporting one of the few undefeated records in the league after four weeks.
The real question moving forward is whether this Eagles team can keep playing at this level and eventually return to form as one of the best all-around squads in the league while proving to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the NFC once again.
