The New York Knicks finally had a meaningful playoff run last season as they made it to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

However, the Knicks were eliminated in six games by the eventual champions of the East, Miami Heat.

While Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson were the leaders of the team, Quentin Grimes played a crucial role during the regular season as well.

Speaking of Grimes, former NBA player J.J. Redick recently had a workout with him at a gym, as revealed via New York Basketball on Twitter.

“Fun day back in the gym w/ Quentin Grimes. Q is an easy guy to coach,” Redick said.

Redick claimed Grimes is an easy guy to coach, and they worked on his shot.

Being able to be a sponge and take coaching easily remains one of the most underrated traits of an NBA player.

As per Redick, Grimes has that quality, and it makes him an exciting player to watch out for during the 2023-24 season.

Grimes had a solid regular season, averaging 11.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

But his numbers saw a significant dip in the playoffs.

He put up 5.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists over nine games in the 2023 playoffs.

In addition, he shot an abysmal 30.4% from the field and 24.3% from long range.
