Damian Lillard is no longer a part of the Portland Trail Blazers but he still has a lot of love for the city and team that made him an NBA superstar.

The newest member of the Milwaukee Bucks was on Instagram Live, via Landon Buford, interacting with the fans who are still shocked about his recent move.

One asked if he’d ever come back to Portland in the future.

“This is my home, man. I’m for sure gonna live here. Summertime, post-career – y’all gonna see me,” Lillard said.

That might not be the answer that fans wanted but it is still a very positive and heartwarming one.

There are many followers of the Blazers who envisioned a future when Lillard came back to play in Portland for the last few years of his career.

He could retire with the team that he did so much for.

But Lillard didn’t commit to that.

However, he did prove just how much he loves Portland and that he isn’t leaving the city in every way.

The loss of Lillard will be massive for the Blazers in multiple ways.

Not only was he easily the most important part of the team, but he was a major part of its culture.

In many ways, Lillard was the Portland Trail Blazers for years.

Additionally, the city fell in love with the star and he was celebrated as a hero season after season.

He will leave a gigantic hole in the team’s roster, but also in the city’s heart.

The city of Portland will continue to love Lillard and it sounds like he will keep loving it back.
