The New England Patriots will honor their greatest player this Sunday — and perhaps the greatest player in the history of this game.

Tom Brady will return to Foxborough, this time as a fan, and that’s going to be a first for him.

In the latest edition of his “Let’s Go!” podcast with Jim Gray, the legendary quarterback opened up on how he felt ahead of this tribute, expressing nothing but gratitude and excitement about it (via Mark Daniels).

He claimed that it shouldn’t be difficult to attend the stadium as a Patriots fan for the first time, as he loves the place, the team, and the organization.

He also talked about eventually coming back as a broadcaster, vowing to work as hard as always in that new facet of his career, knowing he might not be very good at it at first.

The Patriots took Brady with the No. 199 pick and he worked his way up the depth chart.

He made the most of Drew Bledsoe’s injury, taking his spot, and the rest is history.

His relentless work ethic and ability to rise up to the occasion every single time his team needed him helped him win six Vince Lombardi trophies with the organization and reach the Super Bowl nine times, dominating the league for two decades.

So if he takes that same approach and determination to work on his craft, he won’t have a tough time becoming a fan favorite in this new step in his career as well.
