Sean Payton Gets Candid About Facing Josh Jacobs
The Denver Broncos kick off their season with a must-win divisional clash vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.
They’ll have a big target on their backs from day one, granted that there will be no more margin for error or shenanigans with HC Sean Payton taking the reins of the team.
With that in mind, reporters asked Payton whether he had prepared for Josh Jacobs, as the running back was set to take the field despite holding out for most of the offseason as he pursued a new contract.

Truth be told, perhaps that wasn’t the smartest question.
It’s obvious that he is prepared to face the team’s best player, whether he was or wasn’t going to play.
The Raiders can’t afford to take the field without Jacobs, and even though their offense could fare a little better with Jimmy Garoppolo — who’s familiar with Josh McDaniels’ system — they should be a run-heavy team next season.
As for the Broncos, all eyes will be on Russell Wilson.
Wilson is coming off the worst season of his career by a very significant margin, and some believe he’s starting to fall from grace.
He signed a huge contract extension last offseason, and there will be plenty of pressure to deliver now that they’ve given him the coach he wanted and has many weapons.
