Austin Reaves Has Blunt Response To Team USA’s Lineup Changes
The NBA offseason has allowed basketball fans to watch their favorite players play in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
It is a great opportunity for some of the best players in the sport to represent their countries.
Team USA is full of all NBA players and many are trying to adjust to their new roles.
One player who is adjusting to a new role is Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves.
He is coming off the bench for Team USA and has played a big role so far in their success.
But, his touches decreased last game due to the addition of Brandon Ingram to the reserves.
Yet, Reaves handled it the right way as all he is focused on is winning.
According to Nicole Ganglani, Reaves said, “I don’t really care as long as at the end of the day we win gold and I’ll go home with the biggest smile on my face.”
I also asked Austin his thoughts on the lineup adjustment (slotting in BI with the second unit) and how that has decreased his touches and scoring production.

Playing on a team full of NBA stars, some players are going to have to sacrifice.
As long as everyone continues to buy into their role Team USA has a good shot at bringing home the gold medal.
In their most recent win, Reaves played almost 25 minutes.
That was the second-highest on the entire team despite coming off the bench.
It seems like the coaches of Team USA will play the hot hand.
So whichever player is playing the best that day will get the most minutes.
Reaves emerged as a good role player last year for the Lakers.
He has continued to impress in the offseason with Team USA.
