The San Francisco 49ers have been widely discussed throughout the offseason.

Many pundits have talked about what the 49ers’ season might look like, especially in year two of Brock Purdy.

However, Nick Bosa’s contract situation remains unresolved, as he hasn’t yet reported to training camp.

Kyle Shanahan was recently asked about Bosa’s status with the team, and if he’ll be traded.

In a clip shared via John Chapman, Shanahan was quick to say “no,” and that he felt “strongly” about keeping Bosa on the roster.

Bosa was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 draft, a dominant force since he entered the league.

He is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and was also the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2019.

Many regard Bosa as at least a top-five defender in the NFL, a reason for confusion about his contract.

The 49ers have continuously been one of the league’s best defenses, which Bosa has been a large piece of.

The team has decided to drag their feet on a contract extension for one of the league’s top stars.

Shanahan doesn’t believe Bosa will be traded, but at this point, it also seems unlikely that he will suit up for the 49ers in Week 1.

With less than two weeks to go until the 49ers’ season opener, Bosa would need to work quickly to feel comfortable.

Even though he’s a veteran on this team, each year’s roster is different.

Can the 49ers work out a deal with him ahead of the season?
