Raptors Star Shows Off His Skills At Basketball Camp
Noah Lyles’ comments on the NBA fueled a major debate and controversy on social media.
While NBA players and American pundits believe he was wrong for stating that NBA champions shouldn’t call themselves world champions, many agree with the track and field star’s assessment.
Even an old quote from Gregg Popovich in 2010 resurfaced, with the San Antonio Spurs coach stating that the NBA championship is not a world championship.
Whatever the case, what’s a fact is that the game has reached new corners, and the global expansion won’t stop any time soon.
That was evident in Pascal Siakam’s latest clip, as he was spotted doing some drills with some young campers in Africa (via ClutchPoints).

Siakam is one of many African-born players who took their talents to the U.S. thanks to these kinds of initiatives, and he’s always been proud to partake in these camps.
He’s yet another example of how globalized today’s game is, being born in Cameroon and playing for a Canadian team in an American tournament.
He’s also an example of player development, starting off in the G-League and working his way up to the Raptors’ squad.
He’s now a borderline All-Star and one of the biggest names likely to be on the trade block next season.
With the Raptors looking to rebuild, they may not have any use for him anymore, so multiple teams could look to make a run at Siakam, who’s eligible to sign a big contract extension next season.
