Paul George Makes Strong Prediction About Luka Doncic’s Career
Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks has been one of the best players in the NBA for the last four seasons, and at age 24, most of his best basketball seems to be ahead of him.
He averaged 32.4 points on 49.6 percent field-goal shooting, both of which were career-highs, plus 8.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists a game this past season, and many feel that at least one MVP award is in his future.
Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George says that Doncic is a monster right now and that he has a chance to become the biggest and greatest foreign player in NBA history, via his podcast.
“Luka [Doncic] is not next up, Luka is now… You knew Luka was going to be that guy, and he’s that guy now… He’s got a chance to be one of the best to ever do it.”

Doncic lacks athleticism and likes to play at a slower pace than most of the rest of the league, but he is a wizard with the basketball in many ways.
His court vision and ability to score at will, among other things, make him a big load to deal with for opposing teams.
Doncic also seems to have the “clutch gene,” and the mere vision of him hitting step-back 3-pointers with the game on the line is enough to give opposing players fits.
The problem for him is that the Mavs are coming off a disastrous 2022-23 season in which they failed to reach the play-in tournament despite trading for Kyrie Irving in February.
They have made some decent under-the-radar additions this summer, including sharpshooter Seth Curry and 3-and-D forward Grant Williams, but making the playoffs in a deep Western Conference, let alone going deep in the playoffs, will be an uphill climb for them.
