The New York Jets have shown they are going all-in this season.

Why else would they trade for quarterback Aaron Rodgers and sign running back Dalvin Cook?

These were both win-now moves and now all the pressure is on in New York.

The last time the Jets made the playoffs was in the 2010 season.

Anything short of a playoff berth this year would be a major disappointment.

Rodgers has been talked about enough this offseason, but the signing of Cook seemed unwarranted.

The Jets have star running back Breece Hall coming back from an ACL injury and he is the running back of their future.

Yet, the Jets hope Cook can provide some value in the short term while Hall gets back up to speed.

Despite being signed two weeks ago, Cook has yet to practice with the Jets.

According to Adam Schefter, Cook is set to practice for the first time on Tuesday.

He is expected to be ready for their season opener against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.

Like most running backs that enter their late-20s, Cook seemingly lost a step last year.

That could be part of the reason why the Minnesota Vikings decided to release him.

Still, the Jets feel like he has something left and they gave him a one-year deal to prove it.

Cook enters this year coming off four straight 1,000+ yard rushing seasons.

While he may not get that number this year, he can still play a big role in the new-look Jets offense.
