The San Francisco 49ers have made their feelings on Brock Purdy abundantly clear.

After trading away Trey Lance and naming Sam Darnold the backup, Purdy has been given the keys to this storied organization.

He led the team to the NFC Championship in unlikely fashion in 2022, and will now have an opportunity to do it again.

Purdy has gotten praise from many of his teammates, including from Willie Snead.

Snead recently had a conversation with Matt Lively of CBS Bay Area that was shared via Pro Football Talk.

In this conversation, Snead compared Purdy to Drew Brees, saying, “The professionalism, the way he approaches the game, studying, comes to work every day,” reminds him of Brees.

Snead played for the New Orleans Saints for three seasons, getting a first-hand look at Brees’ work ethic.

Brees is regarded by many as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history due to his accuracy and leadership abilities.

While Purdy has a long way to go in reaching Brees’ level of play, many have lauded Purdy’s hard work.

His offseason has been an uphill battle, given his UCL tear in the NFC Championship with an unknown return timeline.

Many expected Purdy to miss a few games, but given his work ethic and therapy, it looks like he’ll start Week 1 for the 49ers.

Will he recapture the magic he found last season, leading the 49ers back to a deep postseason run?

The 49ers have gained traction throughout the offseason, with many predicting another NFC Championship appearance.
