There were many reasons why the Minnesota Timberwolves never hesitated to take Anthony Edwards with the No. 1 pick.

His mentality, work ethic, and basketball skills have always been remarkable, but there’s another trait that has always made him stand out from the rest of the pack wherever he’s gone.

Edwards is simply hilarious, and his sense of humor is often contagious.

That was on full display again during Team USA’s matchup vs. Greece, as he shouted back at a shouting fan trying to heckle him as soon as he knocked down a free throw.

Edwards has starred in some hilarious clips and moments throughout the course of his brief NBA career, and some of his teammates — and even rivals — can’t help but laugh with him.

But don’t let that fool you; Edwards is the kind of player who’ll go the extra mile to try and get into your head and under your skin, a fierce competitor who won’t stop until he beats you.

Edwards’ character was one of the main reasons why his team was able to make the playoffs last season despite all the injuries and poor play.

He single-handedly led his team to a win over the eventual champions Denver Nuggets, cementing himself as the true leader of the organization despite his youth.

Moreover, Edwards has also been the best player for Team USA since training camp, and having a full summer to work on his game alongside some of the best young players on Earth will give his development a major boost ahead of next season.
