One NBA team that is in need of a successful season next year is the Dallas Mavericks.

Two years ago they were in the Western Conference Finals, where they lost to the Golden State Warriors.

But last season for the Mavs was a complete disaster.

After trading for Kyrie Irving mid-season they were thought to be on the shortlist of Finals contenders.

Instead, they could not even get into the playoffs.

But they were able to sign Irving to a long-term extension in the offseason.

Irving made a change this offseason that many fans did not expect.

But it has nothing to do with his play on the court.

According to NBA Central, Irving sent out a video of him with a goatee.

Many fans are excited to see this new look for Irving.

He even looks like “Uncle Drew” the character he is known for playing in movies.

Many fans even pointed out that Irving now looks like former Mavericks player Spencer Dinwiddie.

Also, Irving seems to look like a player from back in the day.

Many players during the 1960s had similar beards to what Irving is showing.

What Mavs fans want to see most from Irving is him on the court all year.

Over the past few seasons, Irving has consistently been injured or in the news for the wrong reasons.

Hopefully, he has found a home in Dallas and can play at an All-Star level like we have seen many times before.
