Analyst Says Paul George, Kawhi Leonard Have Been Talking With 1 Star

Since acquiring Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, the Los Angeles Clippers have largely underperformed.

Even with the star wing duo on the team, the Clippers have only managed to make one Western Conference Finals appearance.

Health has been the biggest deterrent for Los Angeles and George and Leonard have both missed extensive time, especially the latter who’s dealt with reoccurring knee injuries.

The rest of the conference has gotten better since the pairing arrived, leaving the Clippers in a precarious position.

However, the team has been heavily linked to disgruntled Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden who previously asked out.

Harden has been reportedly set on joining George and Leonard in Los Angeles and the three apparently have been in communication over the summer via Law Murray of The Athletic.

The Clippers have sorely been lacking a point guard who can make life easier for George and Leonard, but Harden would fit the bill as a natural table setter.

Los Angeles has the salaries to make a trade work, though they are limited in what kind of draft compensation they could offer.

Still, the 76ers might not be interested in what the Clippers have to offer and Daryl Morey will surely search the market for the best deal possible even though Harden has made it clear where he would like to end up.

For now, Harden is set to report to training camp and it remains to be seen how long he’ll actually be in Philadelphia.
