Things got really interesting recently when Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry was asked if he is the greatest point guard in NBA history.

After thinking about the question and the inevitable backlash, Curry still answered “yes” to that question, which instantly sparked the debate about Curry versus Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson, who many believe is the undisputed best point guard that ever played the game.

A lot of fans, pundits, and players have chimed in on the subject with a lot of different opinions, but Nick Wright of FOX Sports made an interesting point that the league will see another Curry before it sees another Magic.

As Wright infamously tends to do, it caused quite a stir with people coming at him for this opinion, namely Patrick Beverley, who basically called Wright a liar for his take.

In classic fashion, Wright responded to Beverley, and he couldn’t help but take a shot at the controversial guard.

Wright actually makes a good point in this debate that the league won’t see another 6-foot-9 point guard of Johnson’s caliber anytime soon, as it has been three decades since he retired, and no one has come close.

Some might say that LeBron James is the next Magic, but they play completely different positions, even though James is capable of running the point guard position.

As for Curry, he’s inspired a generation of players who want to play just like him, and considering his size, there may be another version of him seen in the NBA in the near future.
