Kobe Bryant’s birthday was on August 23rd.

Throughout his birthday this year, players and fans shared some of their favorite memories of Bryant.

Bryant was well-liked and respected around the NBA, and many believe he’s one of the best to ever play the game.

Trevor Ariza shared an exchange between him and Bryant on Instagram and shared via Ball is Life on Twitter.

Ariza sent Bryant a photo where he was being triple-teamed, indicating his greatness.

Bryant responded, “Means someone should have an easy put back if I miss! Lol.”

Players shared several stories of Bryant similar to Ariza’s throughout the day.

Bryant has been gone since January 2020, when he passed away in a helicopter accident.

His memory will not soon be forgotten, which is abundantly clear by the messages posted on his birthday.

NBA fans who grew up during Kobe’s prime are indoctrinated with yelling “Kobe!” whenever they throw something in the trash or take a shot on the basketball court.

Bryant was respected in Los Angeles, where he spent his entire career, and across the league.

He was a different brand of ball player, something the NBA hasn’t seen since he retired.

Bryant’s ability to make clutch shots when his team needed them the most is rivaled by few, and his “Mamba Mentality” is regarded as one of a kind.

While NBA fans might mourn in remembrance of Bryant, they also were able to take the day and look at some of his greatest highlights from his legendary career.
