One of the more disappointing stories in the NBA over the last couple of years has been the downfall of former No. 2 overall pick Lonzo Ball and his ongoing battles with knee issues.

The Chicago Bulls guard simply hasn’t been able to stay healthy, and now his NBA playing career could be in jeopardy as he has already been ruled out for the 2023-24 season.

Ball has played in only 35 games for the Bulls since being traded to Chicago by the New Orleans Pelicans, which obviously isn’t ideal, especially after missing all of last season and being set to miss all of the next season.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith made matters a little worse recently when he reported that the Bulls guard has trouble sitting and standing up.

Ball wasn’t happy about that report, as he posted a video of himself sitting and standing up on a chair while reacting to Smith’s comments about his current health situation.

Obviously, Ball has no problem getting up and sitting down on a chair, but that is such a small sample size and won’t shut down rumors completely of his status moving forward.

It has likely been an incredibly tough time for Ball and his family as they continue to battle through these injury issues in hopes of them being a thing of the past.

However, right now, Ball has to focus on rehab and getting better every day, so he can attempt a comeback somewhere in the near future, as it is uncertain if an NBA team will take a chance on him even when he is finally healthy.
