Lakers Guard Makes His Thoughts Clear On Jordan Poole
There’s been a lot of movement in the NBA this summer, with some of the best teams in the league shaking things up with the intention of putting together a squad that can take down Nikola Jokic and the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets next season.
One squad that didn’t waste much time in their efforts to improve was the Golden State Warriors, who signed veteran forward Draymond Green to a lucrative long-term deal and traded Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards in exchange for future Hall of Famer Chris Paul.
Although it remains to be seen if this is actually an upgrade for the Warriors, Poole will be given his time to shine in Washington while sharing the spotlight with Kyle Kuzma, who also inked a long-term deal this summer.
Recently, on Patrick Beverley’s podcast, Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell made an appearance and talked about Poole and Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro, who he admittedly thought was better than the former Warriors star.
Russell went on to say that Green, of all people, changed his mind about Poole, via Legion Hoops.
D’Angelo Russell on Jordan Poole:
“I didn’t know he was going to be as nice as he was… I thought Tyler Herro might be better than him. Dray was like, ‘I don’t know JP got some sh*t.”

Poole and Herro are considered to be solid NBA players with the ability to light up the scoreboard on any given night, but both players are also considered to be a liability on the defensive end of the basketball floor like Russell.
Herro could be the next notable name moved in a blockbuster deal involving superstar Damian Lillard, who desperately wants to play for Miami.
