The Seattle Mariners have some powerful bats in their lineup, including Julio Rodriguez, Cal Raleigh, Ty France, Teoscar Hernandez, Eugenio Suarez, and J.P. Crawford.

The team’s lineup is one of their strengths as they head into the stretch run of the 2023 season.

Mike Ford is also a key member of the Mariners this season and possesses some power.

On Tuesday, the veteran slugger stopped by the MLB podcast “Foul Territory” to discuss the team’s powerful lineup.

The crew asked Ford to name the player who he thinks has the most pop in his bat out of all Mariners sluggers.

The video can be found in the tweet below.

Ford says he enjoys batting practice because he can see all of the Mariners sluggers put on a show with their power, which is also something he can be a part of.

The veteran slugger first discussed Rodriguez and Suarez as two of the heaviest hitters in the lineup, saying that they have “some juice.”

Another player that he brought up was catcher Tom Murphy, who doesn’t have a lot of power, but hits very hard line drives.

Ford and the crew discussed how Murphy is very strong and is able to hit balls hard.

Murphy only has eight home runs, but does have a .290 batting average, and Ford says he has been impressed by the way the veteran catcher has performed in 2023, while also praising him for being so focused on his craft.

The Mariners have plenty of power in their lineup, and Ford is clearly impressed by what he is seeing.
