Reporter Says Daniel Jones Has Made A Big Change For This NFL Season
The New York Giants have high hopes of taking a step closer to being a legitimate title contender during the 2023 NFL season, with the team expected to be a force to be reckoned with in the NFC once again.
During the offseason, the team made some moves to keep the team intact on offense, as the team signed quarterback Daniel Jones to a lucrative long-term extension while also inking star running back Saquon Barkley to a deal for the 2023 campaign.
Although there was a lot of criticism about the Giants signing Jones to a long-term deal rather than Barkley, the 26-year-old quarterback has made an effort to be the best player he can be for New York, as he’s reportedly gained 10 pounds of muscle, according to NFL reporter Albert Breer via Dov Kleiman.

Jones is “moving better than he has at any point in his pro career” and is playing faster, per Breer.

It seems clear that Jones heard all the noise during the offseason and chose to do something about it ahead of the 2023 season, but the real question now is if he can elevate his game and keep the criticism at bay while exceeding expectations.
With the Giants making the NFL playoffs and pulling off the upset over the Minnesota Vikings, New York won’t be taking anyone by surprise this season, which means the pressure will be on for the storied franchise to live up to expectations and get back to the postseason and potentially make a deep run.
However, it won’t be an easy task for New York, with the NFC East being a tough division again and expectations being high.
