Video Shows Bo Bichette Recovering From His Injury With A Home Run
The Toronto Blue Jays lost a key piece just a day before the trade deadline when star shortstop Bo Bichette went on the injured list with right knee patellar tendonitis.
This forced them to go out and acquire Paul DeJong from the St. Louis Cardinals as a temporary replacement.
However, Bichette is rehabbing quite well and should be back for the Blue Jays’ series this weekend against the Cincinnati Reds.
On Thursday night, Bichette hit a home run for the Buffalo Bisons, Toronto’s Triple-A affiliate.
On Twitter, Jon Morosi of MLB Network posted a video of the home run.
Bo Bichette’s home run last night in Buffalo.
Great sign for the Blue Jays.
Bichette is likely to be activated to the @MLB roster at some point in this weekend’s series in Cincinnati.
Will be discussing his impact this hour on @MLBNetwork. https://t.co/xSpwH5VNiV

This is an encouraging sign for the Blue Jays.
They struggled a little bit without Bichette.
The team is just 5-5 in their last 10 games.
However, Bichette appears to be making steady progress on his rehab assignment, and it shouldn’t be too much longer before the Blue Jays get him back in their lineup.
That would give them an extra power bat to go alongside Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Matt Chapman, and George Springer.
An uptick in offensive production would also be a good sign for the Blue Jays as they attempt to hold off the Seattle Mariners, who are breathing down their necks in the Wild Card standings, sitting just a half-game behind Toronto for the third spot.
The Blue Jays are currently in third place in the American League East, 7.5 games out of first place, which is held by the American League-best Baltimore Orioles.
Bichette’s return is a good sign for the Blue Jays, and he appears to be recovering well from his injury.
