NFL Insider Reveals Major Terron Armstead Update
The Miami Dolphins‘ Super Bowl aspirations this season have taken some major hits lately as they move through training camp.
First, star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, whom they traded for during the offseason, went down with a knee injury and is expected to be out for most of the regular season.
Then, star running back Dalvin Cook, who is originally from Miami, turned down the Dolphins’ offer and signed with the New York Jets as a free agent.
On Thursday, standout offensive tackle Terron Armstead suffered a leg injury and had to be carted off the field.
Luckily, per Ian Rapoport, no surgery is needed, and Armstead will try to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.
Good news for #Dolphins OT Terron Armstead, who was carted off today with a lower leg injury: I’m told no surgery is necessary and he’ll work to be ready for Week 1. Considering the various options, this is solid.

Armstead is coming off a strong first season in Miami during which he made the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in the last five years.
The type of pass protection he provides is key given the health concerns surrounding quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Tagovailoa sustained multiple concussions in 2022 and spent a good amount of time in concussion protocol, which led some to plead with him to retire for the sake of his safety.
But he is back, and he looked to learn how to fall more gracefully during the offseason in an effort to reduce his risk of brain trauma.
When Miami is whole, they can boast one of the best rosters in the NFL, as they have arguably the best wide receiver duo in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, while Ramsey will eventually team up with Pro Bowl corner Xavien Howard to give the team a stingy secondary.
